Spacious, nicely furnished with a very well equipped kitchen area, this is one of the cleanest, best presented motels I've ever stayed in. Right opposite the Collingwood Tavern for an evening meal, a few steps along the street from the handy convenience store and just a little further to the Farewell Spit tour office, the Pioneer Motel could not be better situated. Our room and adjoining bathroom were both large, spotlessly clean, and very well appointed, and a modern heat pump provided us with a warm, cosy temperature. "What a fabulous resort! We were lucky enough to be staying in a one bedroom suite that was beautifully furnished and immaculate throughout, in fact so lovely that it was difficult to go exploring each day I would have happily curled up in front of the fireplace and read my book for 2 days with the occassional stroll around the amazing facilities! The resort facilities are immaculate, with a shuttle running into Arrowtown or Queenstown every hour. We are already planning our return stay."
