"Was so different like the pictures and Expedia says, I run 5 minutes later than I saw the room and made a reservation right away in premier inn. I need y money back for this reservation that I don't use."

"Rectory Farm is a beautiful old building with a lovely garden - we had a room with a garden view. The room was very clean and the bathroom had a good hot shower over the bath. Parking was easy but we paid £5 per car for the night. The only reason I didn’t give the review 5 star was because there was only a small bar of soap (which was actually ok for one night), and the breakfast snacks were in a vending machine which was extra. The hotel is very convenient for getting to Cambridge city centre by uber, and there is Coton garden centre around the corner which did a fabulous breakfast. The only WW11 American cemetery in the UK is also around the corner and very well worth a visit. We very much enjoyed our stay there!"

"We had booked a weekend stay but didn’t check in until about 11pm on the first night. Got to our room which was quite spacious but as soon as we opened the bathroom door, the smell of mould was extremely overwhelming. There was a window that couldn’t be opened and mould spores all over the ceiling and around the shower. Turning the tap on only made the smell worse and the only way to keep the smell contained was to keep the door closed. We had requested another room the next day but this wasn’t accommodated due to the hotel being fully booked, but someone was sent to the room to do a temporary ‘freshen up’ which didn’t last long before the smell of mould reappeared. We finally managed to get a new room the next day which was alot smaller but the bathroom was fine, although as soon as you step out of the lift on the 7th floor, again there was an overwhelming smell of mould. Overall, the lobby to the hotel is gorgeous but the rooms, corridors and carpets need some serious TLC. Wouldn’t stay here again until the current issues are addressed."

"Room is fine and you pay for what you get, but they had no fans during the heatwave and my dinner at an extra cost was stone cold. This let it down."

"Based on my two trips to Turing Locke, I don't think the company and staff can be trusted. The accommodation is advertised with certain basic services - indeed "no more sweaty nights" is on the front of the website. But when this is broken, and broken for months/years, clients are not told. I checked in on one of the hottest days in May on history. It was hotter in the next few days. But on check-in I was not told the air-conn across the hotel was broken. It was also broken 2 years ago when I stayed – the control unit gives strange messages which makes one thing it is user error – but it turns out it is centrally broken. No ability to cool (or heat), and from the reviews this has been happening for >6 months. I think 2 years given the same problem happened last time I stayed. Customers are not told the room will be too hot to sleep in before they arrive. They are not told when they check in. They need to contact reception to ask why it is so hot, at which point it is admitted the hotel is not up to the advertised standard. No offer of help to make it less unpleasant, no offer of fans or ice or ... anything. Full price costs for a room so hot it is not clearly safe (especially for small children and the elderly). On check out I was asked "how was your stay". I said "well of course, it as far too hot". Reception said "yes, but other than that has was your stay". This was indication the staff don't care about how 6 nights of poor to no sleep impacts a person on a work trip!"
