"Breakfast selection was fair, powdered eggs. But bagels, English muffins were ok. Coffee not very good. Easy parking. Responsive staff. First room was on first floor on front side of hotel. Very noisy all night. Bed was low and sagging in the middle. Room phone did not work. Front desk person was asleep when I went to the desk in the morning (6:30) to tell her about it. An hour or so later we changed rooms to the third floor on the back of the property. Much better. General sprucing up of the property would be a good idea.But it was clean."

"This is an older inn, but it was fine for the 2 nights we stayed there. The room was clean, if a little worn. The continental breakfast was minimal, to say the least. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We chose White's City Cavern Inn because it was so close to the National Park. It turned out that was perfect! We arrived at 6:15 and found that the Bat Flight program at the Visitor's Center started at 7:00. We were close enough to get there in time!"

"Compared to the brand-name hotels further down the road, this inn is basic and might seem questionable as you turn into the dirt lot and see the trailers. HOWEVER, the lovely couple who runs this place is so friendly and helpful. Our room was small but fit a queen sized bed, a desk, a wardrobe, refrigerator, microwave, and the sink. And, everything - the room, the bathroom, towels and sheets - was super clean! Breakfast was in the front trailer, where check-in is. There were two types of cereal, coffee, granola bars, cookies, and fruit. In the fridge were milk, apple juice, cranberry juice and yogurt. The owner boiled hot water and brought the kettle out to us. This is a great option for more affordable accommodations in Carlsbad where the hotels tend to be pricey. "
