"Memorable stay in a heritage building on the waterfront in downtown St Johns. Great location and rooms were spacious, comfortable and full of character. The staff were very nice and friendly. Included breakfast was an excellent perk!"

"The rooms are spacious and the staff generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a great start to your day with a variety of offerings. The parking lot is adequate, but turning left when you come out to the main road is probably fatal 9 times out of 10, still, that’s probably true of any of the hotels leading up to the mall."

"Great value, right downtown near all the shops. Clean. Only thing was we had a shared bathroom which wasn’t disclosed on Expedia. Thankfully we were gone from the hotel most of the time so wasn’t a huge deal but I definitely would’ve liked to know ahead of time."

"I booked to stay in this hotel to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary with the kids. They are excited that they will get to swim after a long time. But then when we arrived, the receptionist told us the pool is closed and is under renovation. Didn’t even offer us anything except asking us to go to a public pool instead. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against going to the public pool, but what’s the point of booking to stay in their hotel to let the kids enjoy it. But it’s all ruined. It was never noted that the pool was closed, and I even received instructions about the pool’s operating hours when we checked in. Yes, we did check in because we drove for almost 30mins in the middle of the snow and zero visibility. It was just frustrating that we were not offered any discount or anything that can at least make up to the closed pool. Also, the room they gave didn’t have a good view, floors are sticky and washroom is not spotless. Breakfast is not one for the books as well. We are not going back there."

"The warm cookies at check in were a nice touch. I wish I’d read the fine print to realize I’d be paying for parking. All in all a decent stay."
