"It is perfect for the night before a flight. It's in walking distance to the airport. (Like a really short walk - 5-10 minutes all in with luggage). "Everything was quite wonderful - exceeded our expectations.
The only glitch was with the taxi we had requested for 3:30 am. I even followed up a couple days beforehand to confirm and rec'd an email confirmation yet come that morning there was no record of the reservation.
Fortunately the gentleman on duty was able to get us in a taxi that was coming for another guest (who was amenable to our joining them) so we made our flight. The night manager was extremely helpful and personable."

"The biggest issue was the room temperature. The room became extremely hot throughout the afternoon and evening and was very uncomfortable to stay in. We were unable to properly relax or sleep in the room due to the heat. In order to make the room even somewhat tolerable, we had to keep the windows open all night, which then brought in constant street noise, bright lights from the Grassmarket area, and late-night noise from bars and traffic below."

"Overall, I had an awesome experience at this hotel. The room was clean, in decent condition, and the shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
The restaurant downstairs was decent. We had a server who was awesome but I never got his name.
The hotel is near a university and there are plenty of walking paths to enjoy if you like to get out and about. Also, it's very close to a bus stop. Just know, if you stay at this property, the bus ride into Edinburgh is 45-50 minutes.

"This one surprised us, was not expecting much. Yes it is older (but so am I), but the rooms have been remodeled, very comfortable, spacious, and spotless clean! The entire staff were wildly helpful (front desk, bar and restaurant.) The street it is on is very cool. We would stay here again, it brings a different vibe than boring chain hotels or tiny closet-like European rooms. Felt like a family business and I am super cool with supporting that."
