"Booked The Lodgings for a birthday present for my partener. Jackeline on reception was perect and proffesional. The room was small but nice and had the flowers I had preordered and we could see the Minster through the fire escape door, we were in the "Belfry". I had booked what I thought would be a romanatic evening meal in the hotel only to find they were not using the dinning rooom and would have to eat in the bar downsatirs. We had a look at the meue and decide there wasn`t anything that took...

"From the moment you enter Dean Court Hotel you are greeted with a warm welcome with very attentive staff. Throughout my stay I couldn’t fault them, they really looked after their guests. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone thinking of staying in York to stay at Dean Court Hotel. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced for what you get. I had some lovely food and they don’t skimp on the portion's."

"We were passing through York after staying in Edinburgh and found the Impossible Motel. We only stayed for 1 night but the room was great with a really comfy bed and soft bedding. Great location and close to the shambles Q park for ease of parking which was really secure and easy to find. Staff welcoming, warm and friendly and a great ambience. We look forward to staying again when we're in York."

"The staff, particularly Caroline and Kristina, were extremely welcoming. Great location within easy walking distance to the train station and close to sites in the center of old town. One of the best of the nine places that we stayed during our trip to the UK."

"It was a stay for my b'day and I'd always wanted to stay here, and it was cool staying in such an old building. The bed was very comfy. The four poster room I found to be very dark, but did add to the experience. The tap on the sink was very loose and there was a hole in the wall by the toilet and some brown spots on the toilet seat which wasn't great. For the price I would've expected better."

"Lovely hotel created from several historic buildings into a modern facility. Very pleasant reception and lounge area with bar. The rooms were clean and to a high standard, roomy and with a good shower room. There is a lot of interesting artwork throughout. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We booked two rooms. Room servicing is only on request, we asked our rooms to be made up each day, sadly our friends room was not properly made up on arrival and servicing of the rooms was a bit hit...

"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended."

"Lovely welcome when I got to the guest house. The lady helped to ensure I parked in the correct place and as my room was not ready, I was early, took my bags and placed them in my room. Breakfast was very nice good quality products well cooked. Ideal location for me"
