"Everything about the Ritz was nice. The staff are the best part of resort. Friendly and eager to help out.
If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the bathrooms around the resort...With the exception of the bathroom at Alora, none of them are airconditioned. Without air-conditioning, it get hits real hot, and the smell isnt pleasant either. "
"I really liked this place and I am pretty picky. The island has lots of elevation differences. So as usual, you will climb some steps to get to rooms. Nothing unusual but if it is a problem then this place (and most others) could be a challenge. To me it’s worth it. Cool island vibe and eco conscious. Our only complaint was that our room (The Hansen, a king suite room) was right next to the staff laundry room. The door was always open and we’d have to be careful opening our door, and staff would often be talking and hanging out right outside our door. "Got stuck in STT a couple of nights when flights were cancelled due to Hurricane Erin. Staff were very courteous and accommodating, even as they were at work during a Cat 5 instead of at home with their families. Parts of the island flooded and were without power, but the Emerald Beach Resort had a generator and felt very safe. "Blue Beards is a lovely place to be. Its high on a hill and there are lots of steps! The road up to the place is not in great shape. Walking up and down the hill to town can be a little difficult. Blue Beards itself is fantastic. The view is amazing. The grill has great food with gluten-free options, which we needed. The staff are all very helpful and friendly!"
