Beautiful beach and helpful staff. Some units are quite dated and run down, but we liked having a kitchen and being beachfront.

The room was old, run down and smelled old too. Broken tiles and the bathroom door didn’t latch either. The highlight is the location directly on St John’s bay. The beach, available loungers, beach trees and nearby restaurants really make the property.

The kitchen was fully equipped. Close to the beach and a few, but excellent cafe and restaurant nearby. Although an older apartment, it was clean and very comfortable.

Crystal Cove is a very well managed property conveniently located on the beach with a great view. The beach itself was not crowded and primarily used by the Villa tenants, charis are included which was an added bonus. There is also a large sized pool on property and classes in the morning. The management of the property, specifically Adele and Bernie, were exceptional with answering any and ALL questions. They were responsive to any needs or requests and provided great recommendations for food, beaches, etc.

Great space, convenience and comfortable. A few more basic supplies like cooking oil salt and pepper would’ve been cool. Otherwise a very good value and experience.

Careful-Not what I experienced with other units.

Great location and maintained grounds. Have stayed several times before and loved it. This time the unit was different. Outdated unit simple comfort fixes needed such as furniture shampoo, mattresses, pillows,

Adele and Bernie were fabulous front desk sales representatives. I knew I could always call them with anything I was needing. I planned this trip for my sister who has walking disabilities and everything was perfect because of the great communication I had with these two women.

Bed bugs!!!!!!

Start off with positive, beautiful beach. Now the bad, where to begin. Put us in the wrong wrong and then asked that we leave our room for the day so they could clean it at the same time they were cleaning the correct room. I refused since I paid for a room that day. Paid for ocean front, the fist room we were put in was the farthest from ocean front, couldn’t see it from the h it at all. Now for the worst part, bed bugs!!!! We left covered in bites. I’ve contacted the property and sent pictures and received zero response. So disappointing.

So the main problem with the Hotels.com listing involved the merchant’s efforts to work outside the hotels.com platform. After making the reservation I got several emails which frankly looked like a scam asking for a deposit which was not advertised anywhere on the hotels.com listing. The emails had all the ‘tells’ of a scam (gmail email and different name than the hotels.com website and links (which I did not click). I responded to the second email suggesting as much and got no reply. Then the day of the check-in I get another email saying the merchant had a mix-up and we would not be staying in one place but would have to move in the middle of our trip. This same claim of a mix-up was represented to me at check-in. No reduction in charges was offered. Fortunately we had another room available to move our stuff while we did a day trip to St John’s as the whole thing did not sit right. Although the second place was supposed to have passes for beach chairs for three it did not. The rooms are generally great for what you get and the location is perfect. We would return again but would not reserve though hotels.com (which btw has a policy requiring merchants to communicate through the app which this merchant disregards). The other room we got through a different provider had NO issues.

It was nice and all but I kinda wish it looked like the images. But for that, we’d have to go back in time. It’s just beat a bit, bad paint, falling tiles… it felt like I was staying in my grandmothers basement back in Chicago. A fresh cost of paint and few repairs would do this place wonders.

The beach is beautiful! The scenery is spectacular. The gardens are beautiful. I had contact with the front desk when I checked in and they were great. The unit I stayed in had not been updated since constructed in the 60s or 70s, the air conditioning did not work...at all. Luckily, I don't mind a little heat and usually there was a sea breeze blowing in through the windows and it cooled off at night. But, let's face it, I wasn't here for the accommodations, it was the beach I was after and the beach delivered!

While the front desk staff were friendly, the wifi did not work in the room. The tv was attached to the wifi, so in addition to not having wifi, we did not have tv. When we alerted the front desk to this, they did nothing for 24 hours. When I again alerted them to this, I was given a password for a router that was not in our room. The signal was weak and would not allow us to use the tv.

We've stayed at Crystal Cove several times. The location is perfect. The beach is absolutely beautiful and the beach bar has great drinks and food. Some rooms are a little dated but I have always found them clean and comfortable. The outside of the property is well maintained and safe. The office staff is very friendly and attentive. Laundry is on site if not in your unit. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Crystal Cove Villas is a clean, safe place to stay without all the bells and whistles. The decor is dated, but it wasn’t a big deal to us since we we were exploring most days. There is a coffee shop/bakery (7a-2p) and beach bar (11a-6p) on site. There’s also a pool and tennis court that we didn’t use. The best part about this property, however, is it’s proximity to Sapphire Beach! We’ve stayed here before in 2019 and the seaweed was cleaned daily…that wasn’t the case this time. We understand that the pandemic may play a role in this though not sure. We like the area and may try to the condominiums next door during our next visit.

This is my third stay at Crystal Cove and it was disappointing due to the condition of our apartment we stayed in C9 and it was very run down and not cleaned before our visit. The staff at Crystal Cove is very nice and the beach Sapphire Beach is amazing but the owner with the condo that we stayed in needs to put a couple dollars into it ….(ceiling fan and lights didn’t work in my bedroom extension cords everywhere, outlet hanging out the wall) we will not stay at that unit again if we even stay at Crystal Cove…. at all it’s really a shame because I love that place.
