Oil seed rape at an early stage In a field off the A368 near Stanton Wick. At this time of year (march) if it looks like cabbage it is oil seed rape. On the skyline left of centre a clump of trees marks the position of Kelston Round Hill ST7167 and in the original image to the right of that it is possible to see Beckford's Tower on Lansdown ST7367

North near Bromley Farm Too early for a mere layman to tell what is being grown in this field. It may have been sown with grass to turn it back into pasture. Stanton Drew and the River Chew are hidden in the valley.

I like staying here a few times a year. The staff are fantastic, they are great about storing luggage, there is a pool, it is near a number of places to eat, I always sleep well here. Great beds, big lovely bath tubs, and good tea options. I will always return here.

The room was nicely furnished (including with antiques, which is an unusual touch), coffee for the machine in the kitchen, clean. Location handy both for Whiteladies Road and the city centre. I emailed asking about parking on site but received no response whatsoever, which was disappointing.
