"For a motel, I thought it was an excellent choice.. I liked my room and the services and amenities provided were great!! I did not use the pool, but I might do that on future visits. For someone that does not drive, thr Stargazer Hotel conveniently located to Downtown Monterey, the Del Monte Shopping center, and it's a great spot to stay at if you want to take public transportation to Carmel. I'll definitely return, maybe later this year or next year!!"

"It was all good at a good price. The coffee pot in the room was kind of difficult to operate as it was set up on a sliding shelf. You need to hold the appliance steady with one hand while loading water and pod. Coffee is good."

"The room was clean and pool was great! The hotel is very centrally located. Our only complaints are the water temp for the shower wasn’t easily regulated, the breakfast service was slow despite not many people eating and we were unaware of additional parking fees of $17/night."

"While the rooms and property are nice, I wasn't able to take advantage of the included breakfast as it didn't start till 8 amd I had to be on the whale watch boat by 7:30. I told them in advance of my situation wondering if I could get some sort of take away option but they would not accommodate me nor would they comp my bill. I also think it ridiculous that they charge $20 to park right outside your room on their property. We parked on street for free 100 ft away. Wouldn't stay again because they would not accommodate. Part of being in hospitality is adjusting to people's individual needs."

"The hotel was definitely a 4 star, the rooms were as stated ++, We did not want a car because of the high fee to park and I was told that if we needed short dist, trans, that it was complimentary + tip of course, 290 rooms 1 vehicle, that did not work! Very poor communication on this between the front desk, concierge and the valet. We ended up walking a lot and I have a back issue. The food and service were great and reasonable priced. The views were spectacular. The weather was cold, 60 ish, which is ok for outside but the lobby which has entertainment nightly was also mid 60's. We were told that if we complained they might turn on the heat, didn't happen. The entertainment and service were great! The hotel seems to cater more to business and large group gatherings and not the young family oriented. This being said, if you are aware of this ahead of time you can make it work, Overall it was a great anniversary stay with only a few glitches!"

"Check in was odd. I requested 1 queen bed. When I checked in the woman was like you requested 1 bed but we gave you a room with 2 beds. Umm ok.. I was asked not to use 1of the beds.. why not they gave me 2 beds?? lol … also I’m sure the placement of the bed in front of the dresser is not accessible even for an able bodied person. Decent for a one night stay. "
