I was there for one night attending the funeral and burial of a close relative and just wanted to go back to my room and go to sleep and the smell of marijuana in the hallway and seeping in my door was so strong and I informed the staff and they did absolutely nothing about it. "Uma at the front desk was great! The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was amazing! There was also a shuttle to the train station and it also took us to the concert venue! 10/10 would absolutely recommend! "

"Newark Hampton Inn provides “ free shuttle to airport” but does not actually go to airport! It takes you to AirTrain where you have to then connect by train to airport. It all takes time and with no printed schedule, how can passenger be sure to make flight? I had to take an Uber and then learned air train not even currently in service!! It would have been helpful if staff had informed passengers when they saw us waiting!!"

"I wish I had checked out a map of EWR airport as I waited at the wrong spot for pick-up. The text from the hotel said to wait at P3 so when I went out from terminal A there was a sign "3" and I waited incorrectly there. From terminal A, one needs to take a shuttle to the air train to P3 building for the hotel shuttle pick up. The hand towels had someone’s hair entangled in it. It’s expected with this type of hotel. Although I was a bit disappointed in the noise levels the whole time, day and night. "Hotel under construction. Room floor sounded like you were gonna fall through it. Clean rooms though- very basic. Hotel will be nicer once they finish the construction, looks like it’ll be a nice addition. Breakfast was a joke- don’t even bother going to see what they have. Biggest pint of contention is they share a parking lot with an offsite airport parking/shuttle business and you are forced to pay $30+ to park a day- scam! Wouldn’t stay here again - plenty of other options without...
