Poor value for money, especially as we upgraded to a manor house double room, rahter than stay in the extension. The bed was also lumpy.

"The staff were absolutely amazing all going above and beyond, the meals were fabulous and beautiful grounds to explore. There are a lot of stairs to navigate and I wish the windows had screens to keep insects out. For some reason my bathroom didn't have a ceiling fan so the room lacked air circulating ..."

The "traditional" hotel is far more atmospheric than the "modern" wing.

Very expensive for a night in a glorified cupboard space. Room 15 was not at all "cosy" - more squashed! Tiny room with a tiny window and hardly any natural light. Dark furniture made the room seem even darker. Nothing like the photo depicted
