"Great stay in a perfect location with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast "

"Julie and Ayman are great hosts. You do feel like you're a guest in their home. We had several fun conversations with them, and a couple of times found myself feeling like I was talking to an extended family member (Ayman and his strong feelings about diesel and electric cars comes to mind, as well as Julie and her careful breakfast service). "The staff were very nice, breakfast was delicious! Easy walk to a lot of restaurants, pubs, M & S. Public parking across the street, laundry 3 blocks away. "

"A unique and quaint property. Owners have a long history with owning the beautiful lodge. Perfect for what we needed (1 might stop over). Would love to go back once fully renovated as a wedding venue. It has so much potential and I wish them all the best. Quirky fact - Charles Dickens stayed here back in his heyday! "

The person at the checkout was welcoming and friendly, he brought my luggage up for me to my room which is really helpful because there's no lift, only stairs. Food was delicious (Asian-approved spiciness) and staff was nice. "Clean and tidy"

"Sian was so kind and welcoming, she did everything she could to make us comfortable, adding a fan to the room and providing cold water on a very warm night. Lovely breakfast, a really clean and comfortable home. "

"Accommodation was great, clean and newly refurbished with spacious room and good shared kitchen/laundry facilities. Shortage of forks/mugs however in kitchen. Good location near university with lots of nearby buses and train to centre. Accommodation could do better with recycling though and communal lights left on 24 hrs etc. HOWEVER I extended my stay and was NOT given the new door code so was forced to wait for more than 2 hours outside until the ‘emergency’ phone number picked up.
