Upon entering from the hotel carpark we were meant by a crowd of young men clutching beers, one man pushed into us then started shouting at us to “ Use our voice” several times . This left us shaken up and worried incase we bumped into this group again . We are an older couple and dont expect this from a Leonardo hotel .
We were given the wrong email address to complain to and the manager the next morning stated sometimes the hotel has unruly guests and they cant control how they behave .
Unbelievable really , we feel quite badly treated by this hotel .
Also might be a good idea not to have your fire doors on floor 3 wedged open !
Sadly this has left us shaken and not sure we want to travel again .
Staff really welcoming and pleasant. Rooms were perfect and clean. Plenty of extra air conditioning around the hotel due to extreme high temperatures.
Quick check in and check out. Offered a glass of bubbly on arrival. Despite busy hotel and World Cup Football there was no noise so slept really well. Breakfast was lovely, great selection of food and juices. Perfect location and will definitely stay again.
Second visit in the space of two weeks - another very good experience. Emma on reception check in was great - she afforded me a room upgrade per my Expedia VIP booking - this doesn't happen very often. Staff are friendly and the room is well appointed. A consistent approach which was well received.
A very good experience which started with check in conducted by Mina - a very welcoming approach and the pleasant surprise of an upgraded room via the VIP status. I arrived late due to train delays and asked what time the bar was open until - was told midnight, so went to my room to unpack etc. Received a courtesy call in my room to invite me down to the bar as a decision was made to close it at 11.00 pm as it was empty. The drink was afforded on the house - a nice, unexpected touch on their part. Room was well appointed and bedding was very comfortable. I have since booked the same hotel for my business trips to Birmingham.
Lovely welcome to the hotel, donuts and ice cold drinks were much needed after a long hot journey. Check-in was great, had a lovely lady run us through it. Rooms were immaculately clean. Coffee was exceptional and great for the next morning after a late night. The White Company toiletries were such a nice touch in the bathroom, I can still smell it now I’m home and think I might have to indulge 😂. Thanks team Leonardo Birmingham
We had a lovely stay after being let down by another hotel! Customer service was second to none, location was excellent, central to everything. Very comfortable, clean and brekkie had lots of variety and good quality!
Breakfast was fresh. Particularly liked that they did fresh tomato's rather than tined. Good choice. Easy to check in and out. Liked the fact there was a fridge in the rom and i didnt have to ask for one. Shower was a decent size and i liked the base floor. My one criticism, not enough coffee/decaf coffee, milk, sweetener provided in the room. Otherwise excellent.
Overall our stay was good. Few little quibbles. Our superior room was nice , clean good extras. But bottom of bathroom door has eroded, wood cracked ,paint come off due to damp. So let it down. Room 428. One of the lifts wasn't working so 2 lifts for 16 floors wasn't ideal. Other issues lack of signs. Like which way to rooms or lift dosent show which floor it's on apart from ground floor. Also breakfast was nice but again lack of signs , like which jam is that , which is gluten free , type of cereal/ bread it is. Or which is vegetarian / vegan. Apart from that all ok. About 15 mins walk to new street station soo not too bad about 5 mins walk utilitia arena .
Room was clean and well stocked. Staff were helpful and I was able to check in early as the room was available. Location was good for the conference centre with some dining options available nearby.
The beds looked made but when my daughter went to go in her s there was a tissue in there like it hadn’t been made up for us from people before …. So we both slept. Together I complained the next day all I got was a £40 refund … but there was no knowing that bed wasn’t slept in !!! I still had to chase the cleaning ladies in the corridors in afternoon to get them to change bedding…
