"This property has a great location. It is atop a hill, so you have a great view of the mountains and the surrounding valley. A great view of the castle rock for which the town is named. If concerned about safety, the CHP yard is directly behind the hotel. Overall, a great location in my opinion."

"We were traveling through from NM to Iowa and stayed here for 1 night with our family of 4. It was a great stop! Rooms were clean, swimming pool was great with the kids. Breakfast was decent. Nothing spectacular, but several options! Staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!"

"My room was on the 2nd floor, no elevator the owner's wife had to help me bring my bags up. The stairs were so steep, she said to just call in am and someone would help me carry my bags back down, but no one answered at 7am and the night bell was on. So I took my time, 1 step at a time. This is a basic hotel for construction workers, no coffee, no breakfast. Blah!"
