Fabulous location to shops/cafes/restaurants and also walkable to the national parks (30 mins). They are obviously in the middle of renovations with all the building material around. The property is a bit old, but I think that's reflected in the price. If your expectations are not too high, then you won't be disappointed. We like it because it's close to the town centre and restaurants, and is basically pretty comfortable. This is our third or fourth stay and find the staff to be really friendly and welcoming. The first thing you should know is that the property is mid way through being renovated so the place looks a bit of a mess but we had a clean comfortable room with everything you could need. the hotel is at the bottom of the main street in Katoomba so the shops and places to eat are close by. The staff were also very helpful.
