"Hospitality at its finest! From the moment we arrived, our stay was wonderful. We got off the ferry and made our way to the square, where Kostas, the owner of the hotel, met us personally. He was incredibly sweet and walked us up to the hotel, a gorgeous 1800s mansion that has been beautifully transformed into a romantic blend of modern comfort and classic charm.
Along the way, Kostas shared some of the history of Syros and, once we arrived, sat down with us and marked all of his favorite spots...

"We were very surprised this is a Michelin key hotel. Yes, it had recently been renovated with lots of marble. Small rooms. Bad breakfast with tiny bufffet. Pool tiny and unclean. Hamman only by appointment. Check in person was arrigant and left us waiting while she did other things. Felt very disrespected."

"This was our second stay at this hotel. Room was very small, but comfortable and clean. Had issues with air conditioning which required us to open window, making room noisy. When window closed was quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a small buffet. Last time they had a breakfast menu and choices were lovely. We missed having that, but it was okay. Great location for exploring Ermoupoli."

"Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay at Eclectic. It’s worth being aware that the hotel isn’t really staffed, so when you arrive you are sent a code to get through the door and then another for your room. Unfortunately the code to our bedroom door didn’t work. Fortunately the cleaner was still there and so able to help us access the room and the key. There isn’t a lift, so you have to carry luggage up a narrow staircase. Both these elements didn’t leave a great first impression.
The rooms are...
