"This is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are larger than usual and the property looks straight over to Corsica, which is a very nice view from one's living room and garden. The swimming pool area is nice but the pool is not heated, so be warned if you are going early in the season. The staff are friendly and helpful. "Lovely staff! Good kitchen, and great breakfast included in the room. The swimming pool and lounge area on top of the hill are lovely and have great views all around. I wished the room was a bit larger! With two suitcases i had to rearrange some furniture, I like to not stumble over them in the middle of the night. The beach club, free for hotel guests is very nice, too! It has a couple of really nice beach restaurants nearby."

"Hotel Excelsior is all about the location. It’s right in the centre of La Maddalena, with an amazing waterfront position where you can sit and watch the ferries come and go. I booked a sea view room, which was definitely worth it and easily the highlight of the stay. The rooms are on the small side but were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was excellent, which made a big difference during the warmer weather. Breakfast was decent without being anything special, but again, the incredible view makes it a much more enjoyable experience. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel does not have its own parking, despite what you might expect. All parking is on the street, so don’t arrive assuming there’s private parking available. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want to be in the heart of town with fantastic views, great air conditioning, and easy access to everything La Maddalena has to offer."

"We had a very pleasant stay overall. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent, with an easy walk to the nearby beach, and the parking was convenient and plentiful. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and having an ocean view was definitely a wonderful bonus. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, and the bathroom layout felt somewhat awkward. The shower was also quite small compared to what we expected. That said, these were minor drawbacks compared to all the positives. The great service, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic location made for an enjoyable stay. We would happily consider staying here again."

"The room was very cute and the communication was great. You also can’t get a more convenient location. The views were fantastic. The property could use some upkeep- everything in the bathroom is loose for example : the faucet, the toilet paper holder etc. but that can be relatively easily fixed. I would recommend to the owners to provide some water in the room since the water in the bathroom is not potable. I’d say the one thing helpful to know is that the ferries smell- and you will be breathing ferry exhaust in this room if you are home when they are in port. "

"Lovely B&B great value for money and very clean & pristine, very happy with this find. The host Monica was very easy to contact & it was a good base to explore La Maddalena. Only side note was it was a tiny bit difficult to find parking on the last night where we came back later which is to be expected in a residential area, and the hill on the road leading up to the property is a pretty steep walk, but manageable. "
