Lovely, great service, but form-over-function

Top service. All the staff were excellent (without exception) and a credit to the hotel. Rooms are spacious and everything looks great; however, this hotel is an exercise in form over function, e.g. massive bathroom, but no bath (eco-design to save water? I want a choice!). The shower could easily fit 4 people at once(!), but the shower screen was not long enough to do its job, resulting in a wet floor outside the shower. Plenty of room around the sink, but nowhere to put your toothbrush, toiletries or anything else. In the room, no coat hooks by the door for our hats or jackets. Very limited drawers & hanging space in wardrobe if staying more than a couple of days, nice looking armchair but very uncomfortable metal frame, etc. Minibar fridge could have been colder. Generally clean, apart from the bathroom mirror frame which was very dusty (room 2006). Room service did not top up coffee pods for some reason, and would not remove dirty bar glasses, but a quick word with reception and all quickly resolved. Good & varied breakfast selection, excellent 'eggs chef' making dishes to order, and with both brut and medium-dry bubbly available every day (not just weekends). Good food in the external restaurant (dined there only one evening), and friendly pro service in the cocktail bar. Used the laundry service and it was very efficient and good value. We briefly stayed at the Sheraton at the beginning of our trip, but chose the Qarvasla for its location and did not regret it.

Great location in the old city, the hotel is a beautifully refurbished 19th century trading house. Great breakfast spread, easy walking distance to the sights of the old town, Liberty Square, the Clock Tower, Peace Bridge and more. Friendly staff who spoke fluent english.

Bonito hotel en Tbilisi

Estupendo hotel fantásticamente situado en el centro. El personal atento y amable dispuestos a ayudar en lo que pueden. Desayuno muy completo y rico. Las habitaciones de diseño moderno y buen tamaño, al igual que los cuartos de baño. El diseño del hotel, su atrio central o su terraza exterior son muy acertados. Lo único que no nos gustó es que debido a un problema entre la central de reservas y el propio hotel nos pidieron cambiarnos de habitación a mitad de nuestra estancia. Eso no da buena imagen de un hotel de esta categoría. De todas formas, aunque tuvimos que hacer la maleta, el cambio fue rápido y sin muchos transtornos. Con una buena oferta de precio, este hotel es muy recomendable para alojarse. Eso si, no posee parking propio con lo que dejar el vehículo puede ser conflictivo. Las calles disponen de aparcamiento suficiente pero es de pago y hacerlo en las máquinas puede ser llegar a ser complicado
