"We had a 3 night stay, bed comfortable, room clean, quiet and heating worked well the room had everything we needed. Shower could have had more pressure and water a bit hotter but it did the job. No real view of the lake from our room just a tiny faction which was disappointing specially as we spent a full afternoon in the room as it poured rain all day so would have been nice to look out over the lake. Walking distance to cafes etc, we did drive as it was so wet. Great base to do Milford sound. Would stay again, staff were very friendly and helpful."

"We stayed for two nights using this as a starting point for Milford Sound. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was exceptionally clean and rooms were large with lots of space. Well located on the lake within easy walking distance of town. Convenient parking onsite near your room. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend."

"We had a garden studio, one bedroom. This was the best stay so far in my two weeks in New Zealand. The room was great, had plenty of space and two queen size beds, one in a bedroom and one in the main room but plenty of space. Full kitchen and very nice bathroom. Wish I was staying more than one night. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone. Easy access right on the main road across from the lake. Less than a mile walking distance to town. There was an attached laundry mat at the lodge as well if someone needed that."

"We enjoyed our stay, the room was relatively clean, the amenities were good, the location and value for money is good, the only reason I gave 4 stars was because our bedding had some big sexual activity stains but as soon as we notified reception they replaced the bedding immediately and even offered another room."
