"I booked Alltrue Hotel Bintan after leaving another hotel due to safety concerns, and I’m glad I did. The hotel felt much safer, cleaner, and more comfortable. The room condition was much better, and I was able to finally settle down properly for my solo trip. As a solo traveller, feeling safe in the room is very important, and Alltrue gave me that peace of mind. It may not be a beach resort, but it works well as a comfortable base in Tanjung Pinang. What stood out most was the service. During one of my outings, I ended up at a place where I could not get a Grab back to the hotel. I contacted the hotel, and they arranged a vehicle to pick me up. That really helped me a lot, especially as I was travelling alone and not familiar with the area. Overall, Alltrue Hotel Bintan was a reliable and reassuring stay. It gave me the safety, comfort, and support I needed after a stressful start to my trip. I would recommend it especially to solo travellers who want a cleaner, safer, and more convenient hotel base in Tanjung Pinang."

"Mutiara is not a typical beach resort—it’s a true eco-resort designed with tradition and sustainability in mind. It’s also actively run by the long-time owner—no corporate chains here. The most important things to be prepared for: no AC and no hot water. You sleep in lovely teak and rattan cottages with mosquito nets and plenty of fans. Which means this is a chance to experience what SE Asia was like 40-50 years ago (and of course the same way lots of locals live today). The food is terrific, prepared for you personally by very attentive staff. There’s kayaks, SUPs, and plenty to do—fishing, cooking classes, massages, etc. It’s all very affordable. Trust me, you won’t want to leave. This is one of those places you never forget."

Trikora Beach Club & Resort

"Secluded location, completely private beach with only resort guests, perfect for a long weekend. The towels are not so clean, with dead bugs on them and marks on them. Better to bring your own bath towels. Super hardworking staffs especially those who serve at the restaurant, they work from 7am till 10pm. Big respect! Reception staffs are friendly and helpful too. The only issue is the aircon in the room, it switches off automatically almost every hour, hard to maintain a cool enough room (Ocean view villa)."
