"Alrighty, the place had charm. It’s a manor house that was built in the late 1800s. David, the owner, was an engaging and passionate host, but gave the impression that he couldn’t be bothered to go too much beyond the expected. The room was charming! However, it’s an old building and it lacked modern amenities and the room was in an isolated part of the building. "The staff here are top notch. The location was also incredible. A very nice breakfast was included with our room. The bed was very comfortable and the room/bathroom clean and modern. The shower was pretty small and, as mentioned in other reviews, there is no lift. Parking can be difficult to find."

"This is a lovely hotel in a row of historic cottages along a street right by the Broughty Ferry waterfront and within easy walking distance to the shore on one side, and shops and restaurants on the other. Street parking in front of the hotel was free although it did take a few trips around the block to find a space during the mid afternoon. We used the pub in the ground floor as a meeting spot for friends and also really enjoyed the breakfast selection. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"The Hotel is in great location and great view, rooms are clean and well maintained. Over all a good stay in town. Two items to consider, there is no a parking assigned for Hotel guest. Park at train station "park and ride". Beware, the hotel controls the AC in some rooms at night (for efficiency), ours turned off automatically, we had to wake up twice to turn on the unit during our summer stay. I'm sure this would not be a problem in winter months but with summer and windows not operational it...

"This place was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure what to expect because it was such a great price. Turns out to be the BEST location just two blocks from the golf course, a few blocks from the church ruins and one block to tons of restaurant choices! Don’t stay at Rusack’s when you can stay here instead."
