"Property was purchased by another hotel vendor who also owns Praia Marina Hotel. Upon arrival at Varandas, there is no one there at the reception. You have to walk over to Praia Marina to speak to them, then come back wait for someone to come over to check you in. If you are an elderly person or handicap this is a huge problem. Then on the evening prior to leaving, we went over to Praia Marina because no one was at Varandas, so that we could set up for a taxi to pick us up the following...

"This is the BEST hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Terceira and I’ve been visiting family there for 50+ years. The views are astounding, the salt water pool is clean and relaxing, the fellow guests are interesting and kind, and the staff are incredible. Diana and Tomas made us feel so welcome and were so helpful while we were there. The mattress and bathroom were so comfy and modern we felt comfortable and happy to spend nights in at times.
