"The room itself was fine but the washroom, more correctly termed a cubicle, came as a surprise.
Although clean in itself it could only be described as cramped
At 6 ft 4 in in height I found it somewhat awkward to navigate
The location made up for other shortfalls and the public areas were very nice"

"Staff helpful and friendly, breakfast was nice and enough choice for us, dinner was really nice and good value and the room was clean but just needed a bit of extra attention in the bathroom. But for the price paid and location we were more than happy."

"Although our stay was fleeting (just one night) we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff.
The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room.

"Room was good and very clean had a issue with the window that wouldn't close correctly so had some road noise. Staff were bringing and couldn't do enough for you and made you feel very welcome food was brilliant and well cooked "
