"I needed a quiet space to escape to for Memorial Day away from all the hustle and bustle of sales and celebrations, and this place definitely delivered. My wife and I have visited the past two years and plan to make it a yearly destination."

LoneStar Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The property looks clean overall. Try using the laundry room but there’s only one dryer and one washing machine so you have to wait hrs to be able to use it, although I appreciate the fact that they actually have a laundry-room instead of having to go to the laundromat. It could use some cleaning as I walked in there it looked like it hadn’t been clean for a long time. Staff very helpful. I asked for the microwave to be replace as it was burned inside and the manager immediately replaced it with a new one. Again, overall, the property is clean. Staff is attentive, caring, and quick to respond to resolve any issues."
"Clean but drabby room. Bed was comfortable and bedding looked well taken care of.
Bathtub/shower seemed a little small. Lobby was clean. Did not do breakfast so i can’t comment on it.
Pool and surrounding area was being cleaned when we left.
Check in and out was easy and the Receptionist was friendly. Room price was reasonable. Lots of parking spaces.
Con: close to highway so you heard a lot of street noise and also the town is small and seemed very “dark”."
"The hotel was built in 1984. So, it looks like a 1984 high end luxury hotel. The room was huge even with a King bed. It has been modernized where there were USB ports for your phone. I slept so good in the comfy bed. A/C worked like a charm. Almost froze to death in the middle of the night. It was quiet. I didn’t hear another soul all night. It had a patio door you could use if desired. The receptionist was friendly and accommodating. We were originally booked on the second floor but the receptionist said she could give us a room on the first floor if we wanted. We took her up on the offer because of my bad knees. There is no elevator BTW. The floors in the room were tile. I prefer carpet but it was fine. Shower was powerful. It had a fridge and microwave, coffee pot and a desk. I have paid twice what I paid for this room at other “modern” hotels that were small and with no more to offer than this room. There is nothing I didn’t like. I had my doubts at first but those doubts quickly evaporated. The hotel is in a great location. There are restaurants, gas stations and a rental car place across the street. Highly recommend. Will definitely go back if need be in the future."
"Friendly staff member at reception. We requested a different room because off dog barking and he upgraded us.
Breakfast was good. We recommend this place"
"The property is beautiful and the apartment was spacious and well appointed. The two pools and very large hot tub are multi-level overlooking the river valley below."
"Hotel needs some updating. Floor section was taped down. Tub off color, shower curtain had some spots and 1 on sheets. Water pressure was great. Staff was great. No hair dryers but front desk had one for me. Bed and pillows were awful to sleep on honestly. We extended our room stay to two nights but our room got looked over for daily cleaning. No bar soap at sink either but I was able to ask front desk for new towels and soap and was given them right away. We stayed with several other couples and the men seemed ok with the room whereas the ladies agreed with the bed, pillows, and room conditions. A/C did work great. We never used the TV. Microwave and refrigerator worked good. Water and snacks available for cash purchase at front office. Very basic hotel so no charging cable ports. Only 1 nightstand on one side."
