"Location is really good but everything else was not. Building above the underground Tran so shanks all the time. Bed sucks, so small and very uncomfortable. Pillows paper thin. Steps were horrible, very difficult to get upstairs."

"Hotel is dated, but the room was clean and functional. Would have been nice if there was a kettle in the room. Breakfast is super basic, so don’t expect too much. However, super convenient to get to and from Paddington station."

"Had a wonderful stay at The Cumberland Hotel. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh and tasty options every morning. The hotel was also very clean, and the rooms were well maintained. Great location and overall a very comfortable experience. Would definitely stay again!"

"Convenient to Paddington station and a great little hotel for a decent place to sleep. Basic but clean rooms. Note no A/C and opening the windows lets you hear the noise outside...which can be substantial. Also, as stated by the hotel, the close proximity to Paddington means you'll hear the trains go under - not terrible unless you're a light sleeper. Otherwise for its convenience to central London, a bargain and gem of a hotel."

"I give Athena a 5-star despite my only criticism of only a warm shower-not hot. The room cleanliness was exceptional with tailored housekeeping as requested. This leads me into the superior staff who were kind, polite and accommodating. They kept our bags for the day on check out so we wouldn’t have to lug them around as we wrapped up our touring! We didn’t need any parking so I cannot speak to that, however, the breakfast was very well served and affordable. Oatmeal, toast, cereal, meat, cheese, pastries, and all the hot and cold breakfast drinks. Well done Athena!"
