" Comfortable bed, friendly ,helpful staff, delicious evening meal, room small but very reasonable price, noisy position due to busy traffic and a 5:00 a.m. beer barrel delivery !"

"The historic hotel, and its location make a perfect stay in Shrewsbury. Easy access to the great towns pubs, restaurants and shops. The staff are helpful and your stay will be great. My only consideration and negative comment would be the creaking ceilings. Ok it’s old and you expect that a bit. But where I was staying on the second floor - you really could hear quite a lot as the people above walked around. Ultimately this disturbed what was otherwise a faultless stay."

"We arrived after booking price of 157 pounds half board one night got there and had to pay 20 pounds for dog . . We checked our room no toilet seat lid discovered we had been put in the disabled room .wasn't happy . The main door that let us in to the building wouldn't lock so anyone could get in . We checked the pool out about 18.30 was due to close but on inspection the hot tub didn't work . I must say though the bar was good and food was fab . Not rushing back though ."

"Great hotel in a nice area. Car park is a little tight and first come first serve but the ncp car park is literally opposite this hotel. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had, we also had dinner in the restaurant which was amazing. My only complaint was the people above our studio room where thundering around which was noisy but I’m not 100% sure if that belonged to the hotel as we had to exit the hotel and go round the corner to get to our room (studio 45)"
