lovely staff, gorgeous beaches - exceptional even for The Maldives

No amount of prior research online, ie looking at videos of other people's stays, photos, reading reviews, can do justice to the beauty of Vilamendhoo, particularly as first time visitors to the Maldives which we were in late February 2016. It is truly stunning in every sense of the word and offers a wide range of activities, all supported by the highest level of customer care with great attention to detail throughout your stay. The island maintains a fantastic ambience which completely...

Stayed here for 5 nights, we were welcomed by the manager and other staff on arrival - they helped us with everything from arranging speedboat transfers for arriving and leaving the island to booking excursions. The hotel and rooms were nice and modern and had everything we needed, the buffet breakfast was nice and had different choices each day. The location was perfect, a 5 min walk to a beautiful quiet bikini beach, we also had transport to take us to the sandbank at the bottom of the island....

The lagoon is amazing and great for swimming and Snorkelling. The property is very clean and well looked after. Excellent at catering for people with allergies. Good choice of drinks in all inclusive package..

Outstanding all inclusive with great food and included wine list. Amazing friendly service from all the staff and a wonderful house reef to snorkle on to your hearts content. We stayed in both a lagoon villa and an over water villa during our week and really enjoyed both experiences. The fish feeding with plenty of rays and sharks a real highlight. The adults only area with a la carte lunch, infinity pool and cocktails to order was a favourite.

Pros: - Great location, very close to bikini beach - Lovely, friendly staff (Farhad, the Myanmar girls, Metun, everyone was wonderful and made our stay pleasant) - Tasty food & good breakfast - Comfortable beds Cons: - Ishan from the hotel booked us a whale shark & manta combined excursion. During the excursion we overheard it was only for whaleshark and we only saw the manta because we didn’t find the whaleshark for a few moments in the end in non clear water as the sun had set. Also,...

DON'T listen to any of the bad reviews. They will all be pompous picks who are used to getting their bum wiped for them. The place is amazing! Staff go out their way to make it the best time of your life. The food is great! I'm gluten free and the Mrs is a veggie and every meal time the chef would come out and show us around all the dishes pointing out what we can or can't eat and offering to cook something special if we wanted. It was our honeymoon and they gave us a secluded honeymoon dinner...

Modern and beautiful, close to the bikini beach. Pick up from the harbour by car. Special thanks to the staff from the restaurant (kuku, mojid, rayuela) there is nothing they could do better. Highly highly recommend the hotel and also the restaurant.

We had a great stay at Oasis, and loved Dhigurah! The hotel is small and calm, with a beautiful garden and simple but spotless rooms with excellent air conditioning. Plenty of selection for breakfast, and a nice restaurant for lunch and dinner too. It's really well located, you can walk to the beach on either side of the island in no time at all (couple of great beach bars very close) and they have free bicycles to use to head further down the island to the bikini beach and sand bank. The staff...

We had a really good time at the Perla, all of the staff were so friendly and helpful on our trip, by the end of our 6 full days there we felt more like a friend than a guest. From organising some excursions to telling us where to experience the best sights at the best times. However the small things, like getting the snorkeling equipment, it was never hang on a minute and you were left for ages waiting it was, yep let get you sorted with some equipment or hang on just a minute and it was...

We took a family holiday, returning to UK 3 days ago. Staff were superb, all inclusive options were great & superior beach villa was clean, spacious & located steps from the sea. Hotel organise transfers for you & you pay them upon arrival. This holiday was great value for money. The dive centre was superb & special thanks to Sammy who went out of his way to ensure we made the most of every dive. Whale sharks, mantas, dolphins, turtles, nurse sharks etc etc all seen!

Spent our honeymoon also celebrated my birthday on this beautiful island. From the moment the flight landed on Male airport, we were so impressed with the details of a holiday resort could possibly provide. They made us feel special from everyone in the Mirihi team- management to room attendant, and they truly created an experience what will last in our memory lifetime long. Thank you Mirihi Island!

Fantastic holiday experience , location and facilities just great , staff service and friendliness perfect , food the best .. just love visiting this place , best holiday Experience ever .. the way the staff look after you and engage with you makes it so much more special, you feel you have made many friends and very much makes it great to return to again and again , well done Conrad 11 put of 10 all round

We stayed at Dive and Sleep for the first half (5 nights) of our honeymoon in the Maldives and it was more than we could have hoped for. Our speedboat transfer was booked for us and we were collected from the harbour. Dhidhdhoo (pronounced di-do) is a small local island and Dive and Sleep is one of only a few hotels. The location is perfect and we could see the sea from our room's outside seating area. We arrived late afternoon, so had a few hours to settle in before dinner. The food was...

The staff are amazing, food is great, it’s a wonderful place

The best hotel I've been to in Maldives. The best island hotel I've seen so far. Great staff, clean rooms, good food, Shisha, clean calm waters, great for snorkelling and sea activities. Reasonable price, great value for money and all inclusive actually means all inclusive. You don't like something, no worries, they get you what you want, they give you what you like. It's like Burj Alarab in Maldives. You want it, you get it!
