Anchan is a newly built property with a genuinely luxurious feel. The interior design is stunning, the beds are comfortable, and the furnishings are beautiful throughout. It really does feel like a high-end experience from a visual standpoint.
However, there are some significant downsides. Mosquitoes were a constant issue during my stay. More concerning was the staff communication - I had to reach out multiple times for basic things like clean towels, WiFi passwords, and pool maintenance. When towels did arrive, they were old and not particularly clean, which felt completely mismatched with the luxury experience the property otherwise provides.
The hotel has excellent bones and a beautiful aesthetic, but needs to get the service basics right to truly deliver on its promise.
