"Three night trip up north coast and Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff member was welcoming. We reserved a family room for four at nearly $540 per night. Bringing our 9 lb dog added another $150, plus a resort fee that was supposed to cover amenities like the gym, coffee, and pastries. However, when we went for coffee at 9 a.m., we were told it ended at 8 a.m., which felt intentionally cheap. We ended up paying another $30 for three coffees at the bar, where the service was unfriendly.
The room was cramped, with a large table taking up valuable space. While the beds were comfortable, the room was not clean. Thick cobwebs covered the ceiling corners, and with the low ceilings, they were very noticeable.
The bathroom amenities were minimal with the pre bottled soap. No extras another cheap sign. The shower bottles sat on a flimsy shelf that cut my son’s hand, and the open shower design left the entire bathroom floor wet. Robes were provided, but no slippers, making the cold floor uncomfortable.
On the plus side, the room had a small deck with a beautiful view. Dining service was pleasant, and the bartender was kind, though the food was average. Dogs aren’t allowed in the dining room but are allowed in the lobby, which felt odd considering the dining room was sparse and not unlike a basic cafeteria feel.
Overall, the grounds are nice, but the lack of cleanliness and paying over $700 a night was not worth it. Cannot recommend, sadly."
