"Everything about our stay at Bairro Alto Hotel was wonderful. The service and little details really stood out. Housekeeping kept our room spotless. If they noticed our electronic cords tangled, they would roll and tie them, and if we left glasses out, they would leave cleaning cloths for us. Such small things, but they say a lot about the level of service. We stayed in a Chiado Tejo room. It didn’t have a view, but at 322 sq ft it had plenty of space, a large comfortable bed, and never felt cramped. I almost upgraded to a larger room but learned it only had a tub, so I’m glad we stayed with this one. We didn’t miss having a room view at all because the rooftop terrace has a spectacular one. The location is hard to beat, right between Baixa and Bairro Alto. You can walk toward the waterfront or nightlife without dealing with some of Lisbon’s more brutal hills. Tram 28 stops directly across the street, restaurants are everywhere, and Ubers and taxis can conveniently pull up right in front. Breakfast was delicious and à la carte, and the rooftop became one of our favorite places. You get beautiful views over the Tagus, bridge and Cristo Rei, with a DJ playing music at just the right volume to create a great vibe without feeling like a party. The entire staff, from the front desk and doormen to the restaurant and terrace teams, was fantastic. I honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else when I return to Lisbon. 10/10!"
