"The room had clean sheets but the top throw had holes in it and didn’t look that clean. The tap was hanging off the sink in the room.There was only 1 of 4 toilets working on our floor the others were locked off. The toilet that was working had a very dirty floor and there was no sink or soap anywhere to was your hands. I decided that showering was not an option as that was dirty too. "If you are looking for quiet luxury, a picturesque setting, and proximity to a forest trail with access to the Seine, then look no further than this spot in the valley. The host is fluent in 3 languages, the room is perfectly appointed, and the pool and lounge areas are a lovely spot to unwind. Breakfast was perfectly simple French Village style, and enjoyed best on the patio. If you want to avoid the over priced B and Bs of Giverney, or the cookie cutter hotels of Vernon, this is the place for you."

"Lovely room, very comfy bed, loved the balcony overlooking the bridge and the river. We had the breakfast which was good value - nice it was served on a tray, we could take to our room or we decided to have it outside. We'd have liked some seats here and there in the island to sit by the river."

"Overall a good stay- I diligently look at reviews before booking hotels and so I feel it’s important to provide detailed reviews myself. As you probably know, 4 star hotels in Europe are not actually 4 stars. I already know that so I manage my expectations. The positives of this hotel for our four night stay: close to train station, king sized very comfortable bed and pillows, room was very clean and comfortable. The negatives for us: no coffee maker in room. They only provide a kettle and 2 packs of instant coffee. There is no mini fridge, despite advertising a fridge. There is, as described to me by the front staff, a drinks fridge in the room that is not meant to keep things cold. What does that even mean? When you’re on a long trip like us, a small fridge for us to store juice and yoghurt makes a big difference. At this price point, it should be expected. Staff were indifferent, sometimes friendly, other times not."

"This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful town. Breakfast was good, as well, and reasonably priced. Parking was ample and free (yay!). Our only complaint was that our room had the strangest feature - there is a window (with an integrated mirror) from the bedroom into the only bathroom. That meant anyone using the bathroom (and there were 4 of us in the room) was in full view of anyone in the bedroom. I'm sure this is great for voyeurs, not so much for families traveling with adult children."
