"This bnb is a gem in every way. The location in the historic district is perfect. You can walk everywhere. Car parking is very easy on the street. The bnb itself is stunning and comfortable. "Would be useful if their website indicated that the best way to access the property is off the road between Alijo and Pinhao. Relying on Google is liable to send you down steep, narrow and twisty cobbled tracks! The hotel has fantastic views of the Douro valleys and vineyards. Our room was comfortable and the food at breakfast and dinner was good. The hosts are very pleasant."

"Book tours and tastings at La Rosa as soon as you book your room as they sell out. If traveling from Pinhao, I recommend arranging a car before you travel. There is a single uber/bolt driver and he lives outside the area so waits are long. There are many alternative private transfers that you can book but you won’t want to be walking your bags. The staff and rooms were fantastic. Comfortable bedding and pillow options. The breakfast buffet is everything you need and dinner at the restaurant was wonderful."
