"Tortuga lodge was incredible if you like seeing Iguanas walking around, howler monkeys in the trees sharing their breakfast with their babies, and Toucans and Macaws flying overhead. Zulay at reception was fantastic! She always had a smile on her face and was so incredibly helpful while solving some problems for us. "Our stay at The Caribbean Paradise lodge was very pleasant, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The grounds are very clean , lots of wildlife you can hear and see. It is 10 minutes away from Tortuguero village by taxi boat, but the staff is always ready to help with that. There is no AC but the fan in the room was sufficient and we had comfortable nights and slept well enjoying the sounds of nature . "Nice hotel, very close to jaguar trail and the beach. Was a 5/10 min walk into town for restaurants. As it is slightly outside the town it was nice and quiet.Room basic but had hot water and wi fi.Staff great and helped me navigate paying my park fees online. "

"The Cabinas is close to the beach with shower at entrance so you can wash feet or body before getting to your room. The staff are kind, even if difficult to communicate at times as some don't speak English, but they do their best. The hammocks are a pleasure in the afternoon.
