"Just remember this is a baseball hotel!!! There is usually a bus there with a team of kids so be ready to hear doors open and close til midnight ! It’s clean and the staff is nice 4 miles to Doubleday field but be prepared for some noise they are teenagers so cut them some slack but if you are dreaming of a peaceful nights sleep April- October might not be the best time for that !! Play ball!!!!!"
"Booked a room for my brother that was passing through whose car broke down on his way to New York. The receptionist treated him poorly. First negative interaction upon check in I was on the phone with him assisting with booking. I said wow shes rude and she yelled what did she say. Basically eavesdropping. Due to being a last resort. I booked him a room for 2 nights. He decided to leave a day early. So PAID for. Because the uber drivers both canceled he then had to wait for a taxi. So, unexpected situation he was waiting in the lobby and she was kicking him off the property and speaking down to him. He said he was going to leave a poor review and I entirely agreed. She said back to him he's not the one who paid so his review doesnt matter. It sure does! Anyone staying is a customer and should be treated as such. Kicked him out when it was literally snowing when he was just sitting there! No excuses for this behavior. The front desk receptionist needs to take a courtesy course."
"The room was clean when enterred and iot was cleaned evert day to our complete satisfaction. There was no need for a/c as it was in the 20's and 30's, but the room was very comfortable."
"Very quaint hotel with a fascinating history dating back to 1843. Sabrina, the manager/owner was cordial and gracious in every way. She could not have been more helpful in getting us settled in. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Beautiful setting on the lake.."
"Such a lovely place! We had a nice, comfortable room and enjoyed the friendly staff. We loved the booklet in the room which included staff recommendations for restaurants and sites; that was a nice personal touch. Breakfast was excellent. The Landmark is an easy walk to the MLB Museum and other sites. Don’t hesitate to book it!"
"Continental breakfast was good and very ideal due to other options in the area being limited and or closed multiple days a week in off season. Clean and quiet."
