"Our stay at the Best Western was enjoyable. The room was clean and was very spacious. Breakfast was well stocked and dining area was well taken care of. The location was very convenient and accessible to things in Townsend. "

"We were surprised that for a very high property fee. There was no ice no ice trays no coffee no amenities on the property at all. Also, GPS does not get you to the property. We had to download an app on our phone and in just reading the description of the property were able to get directions, however those were even wrong as it said to turn it to Phillips 66 gas station and it has been a gas station since 2018 "

Tucked against Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this peaceful gateway offers scenic hiking trails and wildlife viewing without Gatlinburg's crowds. Rent bicycles to explore the 11-mile loop through Cades Cove, where historic cabins and misty mountain views create perfect morning adventures.
So much more pleasant than any of the other towns around the park, with a good variety of food options nearby. It's much easier to come into the park through the Cades Cove entrance than via the Gatlinburg entrance, which is a nightmare.

We LOVE Townsend. This is what a trip to the mountains should feel like. It's a far cry from the chaos of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Townsend is so peaceful with many outdoor activities that are true family memory makers.

Don't expect the amusements that are prevalent in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. In the spring and summer there are some attractions for kids and many attractions are close by. Just a beautiful peaceful little community.

Excellent location for exploring the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Lots of River tubing nearby. Watch out for restaurants using mostly Sysco canned food.

This is our 2nd time staying in Townsend and we love it. Quite and welcoming. We stay for the small bore rallys and have really enjoyed the area and hospitality. The caverns are awesome!
