Close to Showgrounds and city

Double bed provided in room at a price advertised as for a queen sized bed. Grout on tiles in the shower needed cleaning. Tiles missing in toilet. Old noisy aircon and even noisier fan drowned out the highway noise and took ages to cool down the room. The bed was comfortable. When I logged into wotif.com it listed many motels in the area as being fully booked. When driving around the town we found that they actually had vacancies

Another overnight stay while travelling north

When I booked this motel room I knew it was a Older style motel but was surprised how well kept it was room was very clean bed very nice , good size bathroom A/C worked well after a hot day travelling and the price was very good and located only about 1km from the CBD of Ayr

Welcoming and Friendly Motel.

We stayed 2 nights at Ayr Max with our family. The room was basic but clean and comfortable . The pool was lovely and great for the kids. The highlight of our stay was definitely the friendly and very helpful couple managing the motel.

Great for a quick stopover.

We were travelling in a camper, it was getting late and we decided to stay in a motel. This place looked pretty ordinary but turned out to be very clean comfortable. The managers were terrific and nothing was too much trouble.

Budget Motel in name only

For a budget price .. This motel was a huge surprise.. Large comfy bed with colourful non-generic comforter giving a pleasing homely feel.. Add to that.. Microwave...Free wifi, complimentary DVD with large library to choose from, pool, evening meal delivered to your room if needed... I found it great value for money!

cheap motel, needs some love and wifi extender

reasonable, certainly at the price. nothing in the neighbourhood but fields. wifi didnt reach our room. felt a bit old fashioned.

A stop off only.

Comfortable bed and clean cotton sheets. Friendly staff. No dining room so breakfast is eaten on the table outside of your room! Swimming pool did not appeal to us at all. Wifi was good.

Motel was very run down room was dirty. Room was full of cobwebs and spiders there were cockroaches in the bathroom. The ceiling fan had 3 inches of dust on it there were no lights (blown) in the toilet and the bathroom when we took the bed covers off it was full of dead moths and spiders. The smoke detector was half missing (broken) assumed it was not working and not legal the pool was green and murky. On the up side the bed was comfy and the manager did clean the fan when we complained. I really want a refund if we had not paid up front through wotif I would have turned around and left.

Clean and comfortable.

Staff was friendly and willing to do a little extra. Breakfast was substantial and in my opinion good value for money.
