"The onsen here is even better than most of the public onsens in the town. The hotel has lots of complimentary amenities like the lounge area with free massage chairs, soft drinks, sweets; foot massage machine. Their Japanese room for a family of 4 is quite spacious with a separate family area and sleeping area. The room also has a private garden. If you get the meals there, you get a private dining room and 10 course meal. Overall, we felt like we got the VIP treatment."

"This was the perfect place to stay for a first time visit to a Japanese Onsen town. Excellent location on the river within walking distance of all the included spas, many shops and places to eat. Recommendation from a staff member for great food/good value in 2 blocks. We definitely had our favorites eateries and Onsen, but the whole experience was just lovely and Ichidaya made it so.
