The spacious room was spotless, comfortable, and offered lovely views of the gardens and estate. "While this is a beautiful old hotel, it does come with some issues. The HVAC in our room did not work. We asked 3 times to get fixed. Luckily the windows can open but the street noise was very loud. The shower was nice but water splashed everywhere due to the small glass door and very slippery. Dated but full of charm. Not a 5 star but perhaps a 4."

Well-appointed kitchenette - two saucepans, colander and a frying pan with a good range of kitchen utensils and crockery. Other than the one teaspoon provided cutlery was also plentiful.
Housekeeping is every second day and is “hit and miss”; ie, the kitchen sink wasn’t cleaned and on the first occasion replacement dishwashing powder wasn’t left (thankfully Reception has a supply of this and other items). On the second occasion, rather than leaving two sachets of dishwashing...
