"CARS BROKEN INTO! Stayed here due to location. Booked for 2 nights on a business trip. First night my car window was smashed in the hotel parking lot (along with several others) and items stolen from my vehicle. Did not receive a call or an email from the manager. No cameras in the parking lot and was only told by hotel staff to call and make a police report. Moved to another hotel in a safer location and Homewood Suites refused to refund my money even after what happened. DO NOT STAY HERE!"

"We arrived late in the evening due to coming in from out of town. After checking in I took myself and my kids to settle in as it was nearing bed time and we had to get up early for a volleyball tournament. After putting everyone to bed I decided to take a shower. I quickly realized the shower was not working properly and it was coming out in a trickle from the shower head. I made the best of it and then went to sleep shortly after. We woke up early to get ready to leave for the tournament and it left no time to address things at the front desk about the previous night. We did not return to our room until 11pm. Again I put all my kids to bed and told my daughter to try and take a bath since the shower head barely worked. Come to find out the plug didn’t work either! I went to the front desk to ask for something to plug it or for some solution and he mentioned switching rooms but it was so late and my kids were already asleep. I listened to my daughter sob in the shower because of being so tired and frustrated from a long day. The next day at check out I told the clerk of our weekend and all he did was blame me for not saying something sooner and gave me a whopping $20 off my room. If you’re in need of a place to stay this isn’t it. The staff was rude and could care less about the customer’s experience. We won’t be back. Also to note the floors were sticky and there were stains near the bedside table. "

"I was very frusterated with the check-in process and the staff. We booked this hotel to have 2 queen beds and then at check-in which was just before 10pm at night they tried to tell me that they did not have any double queen rooms available and that I was getting switched into a kind room (which was a less expensive room then the one I booked). Never once did they say anything about me getting money back since they were putting me into a different room then what I originally paid for. I asked to speak to a manager and the girl just kept disappearing for long lengths of time and then would come back without a manager. She did this several times and finally came back saying that they magically found a double queen room after all. It seemed like they were trying to hustle us into a different (less expensive) room type so that they could sell our double queen room to someone else for more money. Once again, they were trying to move me to a king room that was less expensive without offering any type of money back for it. I then asked for a manager to contact me which never happened until I had to ask several times for it. We were supposed to be staying at this hotel again in April for 3 nights and I just canceled our stay and rebooked at the Gault House in hopes of having a better customer service experience. I will say that the hotel was very clean and looked very nice though, I just was not happy with how the staff handled us and tried to hustle us out of our room."
