"The hotel is a historic icon and they’ve kept the old world charm preserved beautifully. However, the lobby had an odd smell, like ammonia from the public bathroom. This is my second time staying here and the odour hasn’t changed. The rooms are spacious and well kept but was missing a few toiletries and one of the lamps wasn’t working. It wasn’t an issue though; as soon as we voiced our concern, they gave us everything we needed for the room. Valet was so incredibly kind even at 3am (took a family member to the airport). Besides the ammonia smell, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again."

"The staff provide excellent service. We traveled with our two dogs and everyone we interacted with was helpful and kind. We love staying here for the convenient location also, most things we had planned were within walking distance. The restaurant and the bars are worth visiting, good drinks and food. Would definitely stay again."

"I travel a lot and I have to say this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a long time. The hotel is run down. The AC was not working in the room we got and it was 89 degrees. We requested a different room, and was moved to a room without a river view but we were not reimbursed. The new room's shower head was broken; and the soap dispenser did not work. When I tried to call reception to ask for help, I discovered the phone did not work. There was a private event downstairs and with the acoustics it was very loud in the room till 11pm. I will definately not stay in the hotel again and hope that Expedia will refund the difference between river view room that we lost. It was horrible."
