The reality of the island is far from what is advertised: ​No Beach: The beach in front of the hotel no longer exists; it has been completely washed away by the sea. Instead of sand, you will find a long line of sandbags along the coast trying to stop the erosion. ​Dead Coral Reef: The reef right in front is completely dead. "Staff were excellent and very helpful. Very nice place. Room was not that clean found raper on floor and not dirty behind the doors. Food was nice but not alot of variety if staying for a longer period than 2 days."

"Great rooms etc, but very bad for food choices and way overpriced for food. Breakfast choice is only a buffet at 42$ per head and the spread seems to be slightly stale bread, cold perhaps one day to 2 day old pastries etc. Definitely will avoid breakfast there for sure. "

"We had a fantastic stay at Peppers Beach Club in Port Douglas and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, the staff made a wonderful impression. Check-in was smooth, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. What really stood out, though, was their incredible help at check-out. We ran into an issue with our Uber transfer to the airport, and the staff on duty went above and beyond—calling multiple local transfer companies on our behalf until they secured us a ride in time to make our flight....
