"A lovely stay. Bungalow 1063 is really nice. I marked it down a little as the terrace door wouldn't lock and the main light in the living area flickered a lot. I did report these faults. I was told someone would be round to fix them within 20 mins. After an hour I rang reception to chase this up and then 5 mins later someone came to fix the issues. Beautiful sunrises from the terrace! Very spacious bungalow. I slept very well. Staff at reception were okay. I don't feel they went out their way to welcome me. I had to ask for directions to the pool, ask about payments at bars etc (I was self catering). Nothing was really forthcoming coming. The map to find my bungalow was very clear. Maintenance work was going on by the pool when I was there so opted to sunbathe at the beach instead. Access to the beach is great. Sangria at the pool bar is ok, no food snacks offered which was disappointing. La Perlita on the beach is fabulous."
"The hotel was nice, modern and the pool, restaurants and bars are pretty good. Entertainment staff worked hard, as do the housekeeping staff, good variety of food and drinks.
There seems to be a lack of toilets though... for either of the pools, Breeze bar or Pala Santo restaurant, you need to go into the hotel itself and there is one set of toilets for the entire downstairs area, day and night."
"So the facilities (breakfast, pool, access to beach etc) are all really good. Staff were excellent, as was the evening entertainment. The place does look good on the surface, but then you see it needs some TLC: pool ladders need fixing, elevators got stuck, sink plug lets water through, towel hooks spin around, finishing in disrepair etc. But on the whole it’s okay, and the location is very good w.r.t. local shops, bars restaurants etc. And for an extra €30/€50 they can extend check-out to 3.00 or 5.00 PM."
R2 Bahía Playa Design Hotel & Spa Wellness - Adults Only
8/10 Good
"We had a lovely experience at the R2 hotel.
There was always space around the pool and it never felt overcrowded, having 2 meant there was a quieter space if you weren't interested in music or activities through the day.
I was unwell during my stay and the hotel staff were super helpful in contacting a doctor for me, they couldn't have been more helpful.
My only note would be that there isn't much around the hotel, if you're looking to explore on-foot at all - not an issue, but worth knowing if you were looking for something to do outside the hotel."
