"Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat. It was always warm (something which we considered before booking it for our December stay) and we felt at home right away. Beds were clean and comfortable. "Everything exceeded our expectations, well, except for the pillows which were so soft they were almost non-existent! The hotel was grand but somehow cosy, spotlessly clean and well-maintained and the facilities were great. The pool was bigger than it looked in the photos although the slide was more of a shuffle! Games room had a table tennis table, a pool table and an arcade machine. There was a dart board and darts but the flights were too damaged to play with. The grounds were lovely to walk in, especially because we were lucky enough to be there when it snowed. Best of all were the staff who, without exception, were exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, helpful and went above and beyond. We'll definitely be staying there again."
