"Excellent location in an historic building in the old town with lots of character and a view. Parking was on the street outside but there is also public parking across the street. Unfortunately, after check-in, there was nobody around to tell us the WiFi password."

"What a lovely place. The owner speaks very little English, but on our first morning he’d asked his son to come and explain the area to us. The room was very comfortable, the heating was on (mid April) and it was cosy. The shower room is clean and the shower was great, but the room is very small with wooden doors that open out. The traditional breakfast was excellent and blackcurrant juice was available as I don’t drink cay (chai) or coffee. There’s a lovely terrace and when we came back mid afternoon, our host brought juice and biscuits out to us. It’s a 5 minute walk downhill to the main square. The access from the main road is @ 200m of traditional cobbles, but we had a safe and hard standing surface for our motorcycles inside the gates"

"Beautiful room, very attentive staff, and perfect location. The view from our room was breathtaking. Thanks to Ismail, Abdulla, and the third chap who was lovely but we couldn't recall his name. Top tip: Check out Taşev restaurant just next door. It was so lovely we went both nights."

He collected me from the central bus station late at night and organised my return journey to Ankara airport I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and will certainly use it again if I go back .The hotel is perfectly located to explore the ancient village. "Absolutely amazing. Lovely host and his wife. It’s an old building almost everything is wooden, I’ve had a wonderful sleep. Just a few feet away from the old streets/bazaar. From the time I arrived, to the time I left both husband and wife made me feel special and took care of everything. Oh and the lady makes delicious cookies and sauces! Only stayed less than a day but the impression is ever lasting. Beautiful place and people. Throughout my ten days in Turkey (I frequently travel to Turkey from Uk - and explore places) this was the best day/night spent. Perfect for couples, although I was solo and still felt magical. Safranbolu itself has become one of my favorites - there is something magical about this town. "
