We had a lovely couple of nights stay. It’s a great location for visiting Umhlanga, everyone was lovely and the accommodation was extremely comfortable with a lovely lounge at the top of the property, with a great view of the sea. Highly recommend and will stay again when next visiting

Staying in the Ocean View was a delightful surprise. The owner, Snezana, went above and beyond to ensure we were well cared for. From tea and juice, an abundance of information, to the beauty of the sight itself, we were delighted, to say the least. I can't remember feeling more welcomed anywhere. The room was extremely clean with a beautiful balcony with a view of the Indian Ocean. We enjoyed sitting out and listening to the water. The bathroom was very large and well-appointed. The breakfast was excellent and in a beautiful environment. I would highly recommend Ocean View Boutique Hotel to anyone staying in Durban at any time!!!

Ocean Vista was the perfect spot to relax and regroup after a long week on safari. The relaxing space, the warm and welcoming staff was above and beyond. Such a beautiful outdoor space to unwind - the views are spectacular.

The best place in Umhlanga

This is a hidden diamond and particularly if you are tired of big, famous hotel chains which keep promising but never delivers. Here is the opposite the staff is fantastic and so also the ocean view. Very clean and a super breakfast.

What an amazing place to stay! Very modern and stylish with an incredible 180 degree sea view from the entertainment/bar and breakfast deck upstairs. Our very nice spacious room had a private balcony with great uninterrupted sea view. Just lying in bed in the morning and looking out onto the sea and watching the sunrise was priceless. Everything is exactly as shown in the pics. Very friendly and helpful staff. Awesome breakfast. Pool soon to come. Good location with easy access to all major places/airport/golf courses etc. Very good value for money.

We were only here for two nights. We were exploring Durban which didn't permit much time at the guest house. We found the check in and check out smooth and efficient. Svenana is an exceptional hostess, she is warm and inviting. You feel right at home here The home is extremely clean and serene. We enjoyed the peace, the sound of the waves at night, the cozy bed and ease getting to restaurants and beach. You could spend the entire day reading on the sun deck. Lovely. Will return.

Great guest house with magnificent view on the ocean located in one of the best neighbourhoods in Durban. Fancy rooms exceptionally clean. Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast with view. Also with the monkeys visiting your terrace to say hello. I will definitely get back once in Durban.

Ocean Vista: great views, comfort and hospitality

Ocean Vista is perfect for a business trip. It’s quiet. The owner and her staff are so friendly and pay attention to the small details that make a stay memorable. Seeing and hearing the ocean being a peacefulness to the place that make it a great spot for getting some work done or having a nice read of a book. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast spread is great. I’ll definitely be back!
