"This was a terrific hotel! It’s a former Catholic school turned into a cute boutique hotel. Our room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly & very helpful. The town it was located in, Columbia Illinois, was a beautiful small town that was close to St Louis. It made it easy to get to all of our events. We will stay here again when we return to the St Louis area!"

"While the staff were extremely friendly and nice, the hotel did not have a functioning swimming pool and we were told hadn’t had one for six months. That was a big disappointment. They also couldn’t explain how to connect to the WiFi. The hotel is basic. Given the lack of a pool I doubt I would stay there again."

"The bed a pillows were super comfy, I slept very well. Breakfast was tasty and good variety, always had fruit available. Coffee was my favorite 😍"

"It was a nice clean room. The sink is not in the bathroom, which I didn’t catch in the pictures, I just don’t prefer that set up. The people were very nice. The “road noise” other people mentioned wasn’t an issue for us although we were in the front of the motel. "

"Staff was very welcoming and helpful, Room had water seeping through laminate flooring not sure if it's from cleaning or the ac leaking under it. Only eggs at buffet breakfast was hard boiled. Would have been nice to have a hot tub after a long days travel. Could use a few more seating at pool area, currently only has two tables. Restraunt across parking lot( urban farmhouse) was super convenient and food was very good and affordable."

"Staff is always friendly and helpful when necessary! Room was clean although the tp holder and 1 of the soap dispensers in the shower were broken. Other than that, great stay!"

"This Red Lion is conventient and inexensive. I stay there frequently when I'm working in the area. Having said this, there are some minor issues almost every time I stay. This time, the safty latch on the inside of the room door was busted out and completely missing. Also a pair of socks from a previous guest was left on the shelf above the coat hangers. And, the TV remote didn't work, so no TV at all. For those of you that are big breakfast eaters, this is not the place. The food is...

"Clean, comfortable room. Great hot breakfast. Only problem: We arrived at 7 pm for check in, but there was no room ready for us yet. We had to wait for a room to be cleaned. The front desk staff was very apologetic but we were stuck sitting in the lobby after a long day of driving. "

"This hotel was just beautiful. Wish we were staying longer. Was walking distance to Arch and ballpark. Staff was just amazing. We were flying in from out of town and coming in a lot earlier than check in time and they were able to get us an early checkin. They took our luggage and we went and walked around until they called to let us know the room was ready. We didn't utilize the bar or restaurants because we weren't there long. But we will definitely stay again next time we're in town."

"While our room was clean and comfortable, A/C worked great, the shower needed some bleach work, door track was black and floor pan of shower was orange in spots. We checked in on a Thursday, kids used pool, Friday someone apparently barged in pool. We were told pool had to be drained, cleaned, refilled. Next 3 days, we never saw any of this being done. VERY DISSAPPOINTING as now the kids couldn't swim, 98° outside!!! A very faint apology with no amends from staff."

"No signage and locust street was closed, so hard to find. Checked in and were given a room that clearly belonged to another guest. Was quite surprised to open the door to a room full of someone else’s belongings. Breakfast was not great. Eggs were under cooked. No salt available. Had to use coffee cups for juice. Only silverware available was spoons."
