"The room was clean and tidy but the plug socket for the kettle and t.v. was loose and not properly attached to the wall. Also, the two bedside wall lights didn't work at all and one was hanging from the wall showing the wire."

"Downstairs in the pub and restaurant i cannot fault it, the place is well maintained and clean. The bar is well stocked however it was very busy with only one staff working. Food was excellent and a great variety of choice. Breakfast was limited but the full English was brilliant. Upstairs really needs a refurbishment, the rooms are dated and tired, having said that it was clean and water/ coffee refreshed each morning."

"Nice convenient location to Kendal and Windermere as long as you have a car. Parking was good. Had a nice pub/restaurant with pretty views. Room and bathroom clean. Stairs up to the room not for everyone, very steep and narrow. Overall good stay for our one night. Would stay again."

"A stunning facility in a rural property in belies the quality of this place.
Check in was painless, efficient and helpful with clear directions to our room, once there WOW. Walked into a very large room with more space one would expect in a 5 star establishment.
Big comfortable bed, really good bathroom and kitchen to boot. If we were going to stay in the area this would be the place to choose.
Had dinner there and service was lovely, food plentiful and tasty and a pre dinner drink in the bar...
