"Beautiful interesting place to stay. Felt very welcomed. Lovely comfortable large room. Enjoyed the hot tub, the views, the fascinating tour of its history and builders. Delicious food served graciously. As they say, the road is very rough getting there but it was no problem for our driver. Hiked around the area and sat by the huge fireplace. We loved it!!"

"We spent two lovely nights at Chilcabamba. It's modern and comfortable, but also has character. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lodge is in a spectacular setting in the countryside, with direct views of Cotopaxi but also another volcano, Pasochoa. Because of the altitude, the Cotopaxi area gets cool at night but the rooms have wood-burning stoves so stay warm. Chilcabamba also has a nice restaurant and comfortable lounge. Overall a lovely refuge on the fringes of the Cotapaxi...
