"The property and rooms are beautiful and in a lovely location. The pool was clean and warm. Breakfast had the potential to be good, but was overpriced. Bread was stale one morning and there was not enough food as the kitchen was short-staffed. But, we were not charged for breakfast that morning as recompense, which we appreciated. In general, there may have just been some rusty edges to the service as we visited on the hotel's first weekend of the season. Also, this isn't the most important thing in the world, but I had emailed ahead of time indicating that my daughter would be celebrating her 3rd birthday while at the hotel. The email went unacknowledged, and we didn't receive any sort-of card, or extra bedtime chocolate etc. Again, this isn't necessarily expected, but we had spent the previous night at a Hampton Inn at the airport and they noticed my daughter's upcoming birthday on her passport and brought over a special waffle with whipped cream at breakfast. If a EUR 110/night airport Hampton Inn acknowledges something like that, I would hope for at least a "happy birthday" at check-in from a place like Hotel de Bouilhac. "
